Pricing

Most people who know my work just hand me a gun with a vague idea of the price range they have in mind and I take it from there, creating an engraving around the shape of the gun and the price range. Others give me a photo of a classic style from my web site or Facebook and I work from that. Either way is fine. The price depends not on the material I cut, whether brass, stainless steel, blue steel, etc… but on the style, coverage, detail, and background. Gunsmithing, bluing and shipping is on top of that. There are various iterations of engraving. Full, “lock, stock, and barrel” engravings average a $2000 price tag. But each job is tailored to the specific firearm and the individual client’s preference.

Add-ons

I offer a variety of add-ons, including buffing, polishing, blueing, and gunsmithing available upon request. Below you’ll find an itemized chart of single action piece engraving costs.

details

The process is, after speaking with you I would write a detailed order form and take a deposit of $100 per gun to add your order to my queue. I do not want the gun till I am ready to engrave it. It might be a year till I reach your name on my list. I would have you ship the gun then and usually just a few weeks is all I need for the actual engraving . Knives and other small jobs might take only a couple of weeks. Once we have spoken about the job I can give you a firm price and time frame.

PAYMENT

I have a 3 tier payment system as small businesses like mine are at a disadvantage in the banking system.

If you use Cash or a Money Order I offer a 3.5% discount.(ie $1000-$35)

A Check or Debit Card is the actual price.(ie $1000)

If you use a Charge Card It will add 3.5% to the amount.(ie $1000+$35)

SHIPPING

I do have an FFL (Federal Firearm License) so shipping is no problem, usually via Fedex or UPS. Make sure the firearm or knife is packed well and ship it, insured so I have to sign for it at the door. Again, call first and I will give you specific shipping instructions and my shipping address.
